My name is Julius Santiago. I was born in the Philippines and moved to Australia when I was 18. I am based in Rockingham, Western Australia. I am currently a 3rd-year student taking a Bachelor of Creative Media Major in Photography and Screen Production major student at Murdoch University who is bound to graduate and finish my degree in Mid 2023.
Last November 2022, I was privileged to receive the "Most Outstanding Photography Student" in the Murdoch University Bachelor of Creative Media Showcase. Aside from this photography award, I was also the cinematographer for two award-winning student films entitled "Last Call (2021)-documentary category and Ladybug (2022) which bagged both Bronze awards for two consecutive years.
My love for photography and film is related to my love of travel, fashion, and people. For as long as I can remember, I've loved holding onto my camera. I always thought that the camera is a very special tool for capturing memories in time. Memories of places, people, and emotions. Photography, for me, is about freezing moments that we will never get back.
I specialize in portraiture. Capturing people's true emotions is wonderful. I am filled with pride and joy every time I see people in front of the camera and I am capturing their emotions. I have had the pleasure of photographing weddings, fashion portraits, and events. My love for photography has taken me to many places and introduced me to many beautiful human beings and I hope you will be one of them.

Julius carried out a complicated photo shoot for us in the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at Murdoch University and gave us magnificent photos that we are very happy with. The shoot was over multiple days and in different locations on our campus. Julius had to work with our teachers in their classrooms, in a busy public location where students were taking part in Open Day activities, and several other planned shoots with staff and students who were untrained in posing for photos. He was professional, knowledgeable and patient throughout and we are delighted with the results.
